Paul Martin is acquitted by a jury of the murder of his wife, although most people believe he did in fact kill her.

Subject: This is right from Edgar Allan Poe
A trial found a husband innocent of murdering his wife. He wasn't. After the verdict he left town and rented a hotel room. He saw in the room's mirror the imgage of a man shooting him with a gun. Greatly disturbed, he fled the room and went to a bar. The man in the mirror came into the bar. He was the wife's brother. The two returned to the hotel. Only now we see in the room's mirror the image of the husband shooting the man. This is our echo. No one truly escapes. Innocence comes but once to a man.
